Living

My friend recommended I watch the movie "Now is Good". I listened to her, and finally today I had the time to watch it on Netflix. OMG CINEMATIC PERFECTION.

The movie follows the life of Tessa, a teenager with leukemia who has stopped her chemo treatments, in an attempt to live vibrantly, instead of suffering a slightly longer life. She falls in love with her (gorgeous) neighbor Adam, and writes a list of things she wants to do before she dies.

This movie really made me sob. However, most importantly, it encouraged me to do the things I love and not waste time doing things that don't matter.

Here are things that I try to live by:
Do what you love. Love fiercely. Be brave. Don't let people who don't matter make you feel like you don't matter. You can do great things if you act selflessly and never give up. Don't give up on something because it seems too hard. Be yourself. Sing your favorite songs at the loudest volume your throat will let you. Dance with your friends. Never ever make someone feel bad on purpose. Keep mean thoughts to yourself. Explore as much as possible. Always smile, even when you want to cry. Always say hello. Don't do something because you think you have to.

Playlist for this post: Noserings & Shoestrings (Nina Nesbitt), Fever (Black Keys), Sing (Ed Sheeran), Amber (311)

love,
K
